A HUGE thank you to Canterbury Community Trust!

I huge THANK YOU to the Canterbury Community Trust who are supporting the Ladbrooks WPCA team.

Because of the $5000,00 grant we have received from The Canterbury COmmunity Trust we are now able to complete the next two terms of activities without asking families continually for money! Although our families do their absolute best, when it comes to hiring fully trained instructors this can get VERY expensive.
We are now able to commit to the next two terms worth of activities and the WPCA team can start preparing!

Thank you again, Canterbury Community Trust. We all appreciate your support.

Community service at our Local river

After cleaning up the Halswell River on Leadleys Road, we went back during the Kids Plant Out Day to replant it! What an awesome experience.

We found 22 tyres  and an old microwave that had been dumped.

We planted over 200 trees throughout the day. Our group planted about 150 at the river.

Halswell River clean up!

On a cold and drizzly day Kereru class got out and took gloves and rubbish bags down to the local river. Little did we know, we would find 20 dumped car tyres, a an old microwave, vacuum cleaner parts and plenty of cans and bottles!
